Yo! They say it's best to learn by experience. I got a PhD in starting over, chasing every squirrel and following all the shiny things. But you know what, I finally made enough mistakes to feel like there's something to say. Let's go!
Wait. What if the long way around was the only way through?
Hm... squirrel!!!
This is Boon: Minister, fire and flow artist, bodyworker, writer and professional wanderer. For a long time I kept my inner world private, a lifetime of lived experiences mapped out in journals, napkins and Apple notes. This is me exploring, sharing old and different ways of navigating life. Not a performance, a practice. My inner world reimagined within community.
If you feel like life is on repeat, same patterns, same ceiling, same frustrated voice saying "I don't know what to do, why's it taking so long, Fuck!" you found the right place. That voice was never the truth. It was just an old map that turned into a never ending maze.
And this is Elby!
Elby was born between two worlds, not quite here, not quite there. Too curious for one place, too rooted for another. So he lives at the threshold. The thin place, as the ancients call it.
Bare feet, wooden staff, and a small ember kit. He's been walking this path longer than either of us can remember, and somehow, beyond knowing, he always knows the way.
With his ember made of mushroom and moss, he trusts the ember's glow to guide him home, leaving light for those along the way.
Personal stories, epic adventures, and the wandering teachings of Elby. All of it lives in This Is Boon Field Notes. The lessons, the mistakes, and the pathways. Written from the walk, for those ready to walk.
You, me and Elby wandering along the same path. That's not a coincidence. That's Something Else. Call it whatever you want. It's your story too.
This is how we stay connected. Through stories that mirror your own. Teachings that don't tell you what to do but remind you what you already know. A walk that helps you break the patterns, find your rhythm and move in a new and different way.
As we walk together there will be more to explore. Watch for the signs. You'll know them when you see them.
